Nurturing Inquiring Minds

Whole School Approach

Wellbeing at Riverhead Infants School

At Riverhead Infants School, we aim to promote positive mental health and wellbeing for our whole school community. We understand the importance of positive mental health and recognise that good wellbeing is key to a child's development - physically, emotionally and educationally. We aim to support children in recognising their emotions, help them to choose strategies to regulate and enable their independence by equipping them with choices as to how they can ask for help or help themselves.

How will my child be supported at Riverhead Infants School?

We support wellbeing in a number of different ways. Our fundamental belief is that in the entire staff team building strong relationships with the children, this enables them to feel safe, happy and able to communicate their feelings.
