The Riverhead Carnival

The PTA took part in a very wet day at the Riverhead Carnival in September!  They hosted the stall jointly with the Amherst PTA, and together made an incredible £632 on the day - which was a fantastic total, especially given the wet conditions they endured!

PTA Summer Fair 2023

We said a huge ‘THANK YOU! to our amazing PTA, especially Mrs Skinner and her Team, for organising such a fantastic Summer Fair. The day was filled with sunshine (and a bit of rain!), fun and laughter, bringing the whole school community together. There were lots of wonderful stalls for everyone to enjoy. Thanks to everyone's support, planning and donations, we have raised over £6,000.

Silent Auction Winners!

A huge "thank you" went to all the teaching staff who gave up their time to lead the events for the lucky silent auction winners!

Mrs Munns ably aided by Mrs Puttock led a unique yoga session on for Sophie in Bramble Class and five friends. They learnt the basic yoga techniques and at end the session curled up to relax with a soothing hot drink and delicious chocolate.

Mrs Alberts, Mrs Pennells, Miss Styles and Miss Wolfe led two terrific treasure hunts for Falcon and Elder Classes. The children really enjoyed taking part in an interactive story about mini beasts and solving clues to unlock the treasure!

Eagle class were very lucky as they won two prizes.  A class party organised by Miss Wynn and Miss Grimwood with lots of fun, games and a party bag each.  Secondly, Mrs Browning turned Eagle Class into a cinema with the children wearing their smartest clothes, clutching their golden movie tickets to watch Matilda with their friends!

Bingo and Bangers

We had our annual Bingo & Bangers event in Term Five for Year One & Two which was a lot of fun. The children really enjoyed this exciting event, especially the prizes!

Whilst the KS1 children were playing bingo, the Reception enjoyed their movie night!

Riverhead and Amherst Coronation Ball

The PTA organised a stunning Coronation Ball and thanked everyone for their everyone who supported the event, to all the parents and staff donating prizes for the auction and raffle, and for everyone who got involved in the auction. They raised over £11k which was INCREDIBLE.

That's Magic!

The magician event took place this term and the children were really excited to watch the amazing magic and tricks performed by Mr Pound.  This exciting event raised £800 for the school.

The Whole School Disco

All of our little dancing kings and queens have had a great afternoon at the Disco, and were suitably worn out, and ready for an early night! 

PTA Christmas Carol Concert

We all joined together on the Sunday before we broke up for Christmas to sing some beautiful Christmas Carols led by our Year Two Choir.  We had torches to light the way, delicious mince pies and hot chocolate to keep us warm.

Christmas Hamper Raffle

An enormous thank you to everyone who donated towards the hampers, and to everyone who bought tickets. There were some amazing prizes and congratulations to all the lucky winners! 

PTA Christmas Movie Night

The children enjoyed their first movie night of the year! It's always a lovely activity and thanks to all the staff for supporting and helping with this! 

Advent Calendar Raffle

The Advent Calendar raffle raised an incredible £466! We had donations of over 50 advent calendars, including a very kindly donated Grand Prize of a Christian Dior perfume calendar! The lucky winner of this was Rory in Elder class (who was also given a chocolate advent calendar to accompany the Grand Prize!). We also congratulated Jupiter class who had the most winners, with 10 children winning a prize. 

PTA Quiz Night

We had a fantastic turn out for our first quiz night of the year. Congratulations to Eagle Class who were victorious on the night, and a big thanks to Angharad for organising the pizza delivery! The evening raised a total of £633 and was great fun! 

Happy Bag Collection

Thank you to Mrs Miles for organising this year's Happy Bag collections.  By donating unwanted clothes, shoes, belts, textiles etc. we not only helped to reduce textile and clothing waste but also raised £133.20 for the school.

Ice Cream Sales

Thank you to the Class Reps for organising our summer ice cream sales! It was lovely for the children and siblings to enjoy playing on the outdoor areas with their siblings and adults, as well as enjoying a delicious ice-cream of course!

Easter Egg Raffle

Everyone was very excited to see if they had won an delicious Easter Egg in our raffle!  We had lots of donations and therefore lots of winners!

We would like to say a huge "thank you" to everyone for donating and taking part.  The event raised a lot of money for the school.
