We may be biased but we truly believe that our PTA is the best!  They have already donated £1,880 for new phonics books across all three year groups. This year, as well as organising the MacMillan Coffee Mornings; Harvest basket donations; Nearly New Uniform Sales; PTA Quiz; Class Christmas projects; buying and paying for the food at the Year One Starlight Safari and organising another fantastic Michaelmas Market.

Don’t forget that as a parent of Riverhead Infants’ School you are automatically part of the PTA and without the help of you all none of the events could happen, and the children wouldn’t benefit from your generosity.  The PTA is a fantastic organisation that not only raises essential monies for the school but also brings families together for social events.

The children have been very excited this term using our new iPads which were purchased with money raised by our generous parents through all the PTA fundraising and efforts.  Of course there is still a veryimportant place in the classroom for pen and paper, but it is reassuring to know that Riverhead Infants’ are keeping up to date with the latest technology giving the children a wonderful start to a “well rounded” education.  They have been interviewing their peers, photographing the school and even teaching some of the staff how to use their own iPads!
